How is my gold valued?

Which deductions affect the amount I receive?
Weight that is not gold, purity lower than marked, and the loan if your gold is pledged. Stones, beads, wax or lac filling and non-gold parts are taken out of the weight, the tested purity is used instead of the marking, and for pledged gold the loan closure amount is subtracted. Making charges and GST paid when the jewellery was bought are not part of the gold’s value, so no buyer refunds them.
What documents should I bring?
A government photo ID such as Aadhaar, voter ID, passport or driving licence, and your PAN card for transactions above ₹2 lakh. For pledged gold, also bring the loan receipt or loan account number and the lender’s name and branch.
Can I sell gold without the original bill?
Yes. A purchase bill helps but is not required. The price depends on the purity found when we test your gold, not on the bill. You still need a valid photo ID.
How does pledged gold release and settlement work?
We settle your loan with the bank, NBFC or pawn broker, the lender releases the gold, we test and value it, and you receive the balance. Balance = value of the released gold − the loan closure amount. You see both figures before anything is finalised, and you keep the lender’s closure receipt.
Do you melt my gold?
Not without your agreement. Your gold is tested and weighed in front of you, and nothing is final until you accept the price. If a piece ever needs melting to confirm its purity, we explain why first, melt it only with your consent and show you the weight before and after.
When and how will I be paid?
As soon as you accept the price: by UPI, or in cash when the total is under ₹2 lakh, because income-tax law does not allow cash payments of ₹2 lakh or more. For a large amount, call us first: banks usually limit UPI transfers to about ₹1 lakh a day, and we will explain how the full payment reaches you. For pledged gold, the balance is paid after the loan is settled.
